Today, I’m going to give some blog love to my Asian refashionista sisters.  Seriously, you wouldn’t believe how few of us Asians sew, or at least blog.  To kick off the New Year, I found three totally awesome upcycled fashions.

#1: Ann Le Off the Shoulder Top

I cannot pull an off-the-shoulder top.  I get super self-conscious about not wearing a bra, or I buy one of those sticky bras and I become super self-conscious about wearing that.  But, Ann Lee is totally gorgeous and I love this top.

#2. Sarah’s Too Big Dress into a Cute A-Line Dress

Sometimes I find dresses at the Salvation Army, but they are too big.  So I like this idea.  Sarah claims that it will take you 5 minutes — I haven’t tried it out, but it doesn’t look too complicated.  She offers nice step-by-step photos.  Don’t you think she is totally cute, too?

#3. Men’s Polo into a Dress

Men’s clothing is awesome because it’s readily available at Goodwill and the Salvation Army, and you can find oodles of brand new-with-tags items.  I went shopping this past season for an entire new pile of men’s sweaters.  I came out with over 20 sweaters for like $25, all brand new, all with tags, all name brands.  Learning how to refashion some men’s clothing will take you to a whole new level of fashionista!

What do you think of these refashions?

With love,
